Deline’s Gift equips disadvantaged and under-served women with tools and opportunity to emerge and stay out of extreme poverty.
Rather than give handouts, we design training and financially based solutions that promote self-reliance and enable women to continue scaling impact long after completing our two-year graduation program. Through this integrated approach, women are able to improve their condition, climb out of the poverty trap and avoid falling back into it.
One of our main goals is to include the excluded and to help them thrive and become productive members of their communities.
Foreigners with good ideas can’t end extreme poverty and inequality–only gifted, equipped, and visionary local community members can. This is why we partner with communities to design and implement training-based and financial solutions that respond to their needs. This ensures the sustainability of our actions.
85% of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged women live in remote, rural areas. We’re committed to reaching those living in the most isolated, impoverished places on earth.
Deline’s Gift’s graduation program is a two-year, comprehensive, step-by-step approach to poverty alleviation, financial inclusion, empowerment, and transformation. It is a long-term and gradual commitment because women need intensive and sustained support to get a strong foothold on the path out of poverty.
Collaboration with local community leaders, businesses and NGOs remains ongoing throughout program implementation. This strengthens local ownership and helps build local capacity while creating significant change.
We apply best practices and cultivate credibility and openness through our approach, methods, operations, metrics and analysis of our successes—and failures.
Commitment to vision and values
We are firmly committed to our vision and value in a world where disadvantaged women have the ability to make meaningful choices to improve their lives in a lasting way.
